World Cup Schedule

As I sit here trying to fight the amazing jet-lagged compulsion to sleep, I thought I'd give out our race schedule. We train 3-4 days before, then race:

  • Today - January 16th: Igls Austria (near Innnsbruck). We race 9am European time (8 hours ahead of Utah, so 1am Utah time) on Friday the 15th, the men at 9am on Saturday.
  • January 17-23: Winterberg, Germany. Women 9am Saturday the 22nd, men 9am Sunday the 23rd.
  • January 24-30: St. Moritz Switzerland. Women 1pm Friday the 28th (5am Utah time), men 8:45am the same day.
  • January 31-February 6: Cesana Italy. Women 2pm Friday the 4th (6am Utah time), men 10am same day.
Then it's off to World Championships from February 7-27, in Koenigssee Germany:
  • An off week, which we'll spend back in Igls training I think.
  • Then a week of unofficial training, since part of the track is new.
  • Then a week of official training & race.
  • 4 runs over two days.
  • Men race at 10:30am on Thurs the 24th and 9:30am on Fri the 25th.
  • Women race at 12:30pm on Fri the 25th and 3:30pm on Sat the 26th
Then, it's off to Lake Placid for National Championships.

Are you tired yet? Phew! :)
