Cross Country Skiing

It's been an eventful couple weeks, but not much of interest to post here! Lots of catching up at work, preparing for returning to Europe, cleaning the house, and so on. Boring for you I'm sure...

Anyway, one thing has been quite a lot of fun: cross country skiing. For my last paycheck at the bike shop last fall, I was paid with 2 pairs of XC skis: one set for nordic/classic style, and one set for skate-skiing.

The virgin outing on those skis was last weekend.

I made the mistake of tiring Jean Luc out in the parking lot playing ball while we waited for a friend to arrive.

For later reference, here's what he looked like before he got all snowy:

Then we took off.

I took a picture of my shadow - yes, this is the closest thing to a picture of me out there, oops.

There was a lot of fresh snow so we broke trail a lot.

Jean Luc romped in the snow.

And had to chew snowballs out of his paws every so often.

Doggering!

His face afterward? Priceless.

I made him sit and pose for me when we got back to the car. His eyes are so long-suffering, aren't they?
