Christmas

Some funny stuff happened on Christmas.

First, I was alone for most of the day since Brad was in MN visiting his family, and was due home around 5pm, at which time we would celebrate our Christmas. It was really nice actually, after the hectic travel and Europe racing and whatnot, to have some down time, super quiet. I spent the day reading, cleaning, playing with dogger (and went to a chick flick I knew Brad wouldn't be interest in).

Brad got home only an hour delayed due to weather, and we had our Christmas.

He took joy in pictures of me opening presents from his family:

Kitchen towels and supplies for our newly painted kitchen, yay!

Then dogger got to play with his present, a tug toy.

The funniest part came later, though, when we heard a noise at the back door. Jean Luc had been outside for a few minutes.

First, we saw only this shadow.

Then Brad opened the door and started bellowing with laughter! He made JL stand outside the door until we could get the camera going...

Poor thing, he didn't seem to know what to do! He'd only been outside for maybe ten minutes, and this much snow had fallen on him...he didn't shake, walk, move; only his eyes twitched as he looked at us helplessly.

We let him inside, but laughed so hard that we had to take a few more photos; then we were merciful and toweled him off.

Hysterical ending to our Christmas.
