What not to do in a gunfight...

One of my recent projects took me to a remote part of the county to review a potential sniper training area (long story, sorry).

To contrast their controlled proposed project with the activities of the locals, we stopped by an unofficial shooting range, by a frontage road. And it certainly was pretty solid evidence of what we wouldn't want to see.


Shells left everywhere.


They'd been shooting at this couch, AND at the rocks. For the latter, it's natural selection at work...


But it taught me a surprising lesson - you know in movies how the hero always dives behind a couch or other piece of furniture for protection? Well, after looking at the back of the couch, all I can say is that if you're ever in a gunfight....my advice to you is....

DON'T DO THAT!
