Tahoe 2010 - part 3 (Rob & Michelle's Wedding)
Somehow, we got ready and to the wedding on time. In fact, they were still setting up. Phew!
I love how they set up the chairs around the vegetation.
And even with such a short time to prep, I think we look pretty good!
Channeling Paris Hilton.
Then it was wedding time....here comes the groom. We all cheered and whistled.
The bride was escorted by her two sons, 12 and 14 I think. Very very cool.
The ceremony was short but lovely.
Kiss the bride!!!
Then it was time to carry our chairs over to the tables, mingle, visit, and get ready for dinner.
The Utah crew and the happy couple.
The setting was gorgeous - we all talked about how much we'd love to move out.
Brad and I met Milly the dog. Yes, this is bigger than her head.
Super excited...
And wouldn't stop...
She was like a miniature Jean Luc, so we couldn't say no.
Here it is again once more just 'cause this shot is my favorite:
We played in the water.
And started what would become a foot theme...
Then on to the food! Yay!
Rolls?
The cake!
Pretty clever...
We LOVED that we could be barefoot the whole time. The chicas:
Then we headed out to the pier.
I happened to wear a swimsuit under my dress, and since it was pretty hot, I stripped down and climbed down the ladder. Craig came after...
And tried to push me into the water. "Why is she so strong?"
I jumped in anyway, and it was fantastic! My dress was made of a slinky material, so you couldn't tell when it got wet after I put it back on. :) Best impulse purchase ever.
Matt and Lis on the pier.
While wandering, we gathered some pinecones. They aren't large there at all.
Time for the toast!
And the first dance.
Then we ALL could dance, hurrah!
Brad getting his groove on.
I love dancing.
At one point, all the women had to dance with the groom.
One guy actually knew how to swing dance, which was a lot of fun, but he took it WAY too seriously. :) LOVE the look on his face here...
Oh, and notice how I had to tie up my skirt to free the legs a bit...
Then, sunset.
Time to head home, change, and go to the after party. The party was at a friend of Rob's, and the grass was SO lush that we again took a barefoot picture. Which I don't have now, but will try to get a hold of and post later. :)
