Tahoe 2010 - part 1 (Entertaining Myself)
Brad and I drove out to Tahoe, CA for our friend's wedding. The wedding was awesome, but the drive...harsh. Over 20 hours in the car in one weekend!
I always wonder what this is...
But still haven't stopped to check it out.
So we found ways to pass the time. Brad's method:
And I was left with...
So I sang with the radio.
And got pretty into it.
Brad still...
But there was more of this to come.
Then I started to get loopy.
And was I hallucinating, or were the cars ahead of me driving through water?
My reaction was...
Somehow, Brad was still...
So I checked on the bikes.
They were fine.
Eventually, I couldn't help but...
Then, something interesting...the mountains were floating!
Crazy hallucination.
I found it pretty amusing.
All of this happened...before Wendover. Which went by about this quick.
Then more of this - I tried to catch this illusion on the ridge since it looked like the truck was flying, but missed it. You get the idea though.
Brad woke up, and cut some cheese.
After a while, we were too tired / sore / cranky to take pictures, and too sore (my glute cramped up so badly at one point that we had to pull over so I could stretch and massage it for a half hour!) So we've only got one more:
After a grueling 11 hours, we pulled into South Lake Tahoe, dumped our stuff in the rental house, and crashed. Phew!
