Doggie road trip episode three
All of Brad's pictures are here .
Here's Jean Luc romping around like he's had a sugar rush after his bath:
The girl at the McDonald's we stopped at (we were desperate and starving, that's why we stopped there.....) thought Jean Luc was so cute that she gave him a little ice cream cone - he must have been in heaven!
The drive to get him was really pretty - Katrina and her friend gave us directions to take a back way to I-5 rather than drive back down to Sacramento. It was quite beautiful, narrow winding roads. Made us an hour late, but oops! I'm sure Donna, the lady at the rescue, didn't mind, she was / is so sad to have Jean Luc gone! Such a cool dog, if I were her I would have wanted to keep him forever. I talked to her yesterday and she sounded a bit sad as we chatted about his adjustment. :( She's happy to have found him a good home though.
Here's our baby tuckered out on the couch. I'm pretty sure that he's laid claim to it, it's his couch by golly! Grin again. (Disclaimer: The place is a little messy from unpacking from our trip, but it's almost ALWAYS cluttered, the two of us with all our gear: skiis, snowboards, boots, bikes, climbing stuff, camping stuff, bike gear and bike parts, now dog stuff, sigh. Can't wait to get into a real house with some space....)
We're just both head over heels for him!
