Minnesota
Phew, that was an adventure. I just got back from Hastings, MN, for Brad's brother Brandon's wedding reception (they kind of eloped, went to Hawaii to get married and told their families they couldn't come for the ceremony, but had a reception in Hastings).
It was a lot of fun. Brad took me jetskiing on the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers, my first time on a jetski. Brad laughed, shaking his head, "She takes snowmobiles at 80 miles an hour but hasn't been on a jetski." And of course we forgot the camera in the truck so there are no pictures of this memorable occasion, tsk tsk.
We also drove around with Brad's younger brother Wes (who is moving out to Park City and will therefor be my park buddy this winter, skiing and riding in the terrain park on groomer days) and peered in the windows of Brad's old house, and played in cornfields (another first), and met heaps and heaps of relatives. (Hopefully they liked me!)
The reception itself was a blast, posing for pictures (not the fun part, though when Wes got all dressed up like a geek it was pretty funny) and eating a yummy dinner (I got extra veggies since neither Brad nor Wes like them), and overdosing on cake (it didn't want to stay down, let's just say that), and drinking WAY too much (7+ drinks for me, when I usually get tanked on two!), and dancing WAY too freely, and seeing my boyfriend dance for the first time in the year we've been together!
Pictures to come soon.....whoop, here they are, just a few days late!
Sandy, Brad's mom, getting into it. :)
Brad, his younger brother Wes, and I at the head table. Contributing (unawares) to the delinquency of a minor, shaking my head. ;)
Brad and I dancing....
