Valedictorian

Quick note about a long story: Tried to graduate from BYU last year, walked and everything, and then ended up having to take yet another religion class, but since I was sick of BYU, I took it independent study. Hated the class, so it dragged on a bit, sigh......finished in time to graduate in April 2005, but the great BYU messed up my paperwork, saying they'd never gotten it....by the time all was said and done, I've ended up graduating from BYU August of this year. Actual graduation is next Thursday, so I'll have my diploma soon, yay!

Long story short, I get a call a couple weeks ago to inform me that I'm the Geography department Valedictorian, and that I have to attend the ceremonies to keep the title. I can suck it up and handle a few hours of speeches to have that on my record! How funny though, they mess up so I graduate late, and it ends up working to my benefit to be the Valedictorian, over a year after I actually finished school.
